Konstantinos Nuses
Chief Nuses has served with the Merrillville Police Department since 2005. He is a 1995 graduate of Merrillville High School. Chief Nuses has served the department as a field training officer, patrol supervisor, and task force officer. Chief Nuses previously served the department as the Assistant Chief of Police.

Matthew Vasel
Matthew Vasel
Assistant Chief Vasel has served with the Merrillville Police Department since 2008. He has worked as a detective, patrol supervisor, K-9 Handler, and Accident Team Supervisor. He previously served the department as the Detective Commander and Professional Services Commander. Asst. Chief Vasel has a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice from Pensacola Christian College.

Commander Paunicka has served with the Merrillville Police Department since 2008. He has served as a field training officer, detective, patrol supervisor, and SWAT Commander. Commander Paunicka has a Bachelor's of Science Degree from the IU School of Public and Environmental Affairs.
