Rhonda Jordan-Neal Makes History on Merrillville Town Council
Jordan-Neal is the first black woman to serve on Merrillville’s Town Council. She was sworn in Tuesday, July 11 as the 1st Ward council representative. This historic event comes after she was selected in a caucus to fulfill the remainder of the term for former Town Councilman Don Spann.
In addition to taking a seat on the council, Jordan-Neal was also appointed to the Merrillville Fire Protection Territory and the Merrillville Redevelopment Authority.
