Stormwater Utility Sets Southmoor Park Residents Public Meeting on April 30th
The Town of Merrillville Stormwater Utility has recently completed a set of engineering plans through Robinson Engineering, LTD., which will address sub-standard stormwater drainage for the Southmoor Park subdivision. Construction for this project is anticipated to start in the late spring or early summer. The majority of work will be improvements within the existing road rights-of-ways and utility easements.
A public meeting is scheduled to be held on Wednesday, April 30, 2014, at 6:30 pm in the Merrillville Town Hall Council Chambers, 7820 Broadway. All residents and owners of property in the Southmoor Park subdivision have been sent a letter inviting them to attend this meeting to answer any questions regarding the plans for this project.
The Southmoor Park subdivision contains 83 homes and a few vacant parcels from 78th to 79th Avenues on the north and south, and Madison Street/Merrillville Road and Tyler and Jackson Streets on the east and west.
